Hey! I took a break from the rent to own plan for serum a while but i went a head and started it again. the payment went through and i updated serum via the splice client. but inside my DAW (FL Studio 12) serum then wanted my serial number, which i obviously don't have. I re-installed serum a couple of times and even changed the install location but it still wants my serial number. Any advice or should i talk to splice instead? Thank you/Max

Please make sure you have deleted any previous versions of Serum you have on your computer. Then confirm that you are signed into the Splice app (the Splice logo will appear in your menubar) and have the latest version of the Splice client installed. The current version for OSX is 2.1, and for Windows it's 1.2.15. If you need to download the Splice app, you can do so here: splice.com/download

so I purchased serum through splice and It is 100% payed off now but I can't seem to get the update with the new filters. Was thinking that since it's through a 3rd party website that there might just be a delay or something. But ya any suggestions on how I might be able to update this?

Saw something on using words in the Serum wave table editor as a formula to get serum to try to process the words, but when I put in * word * it just highlights it red and doesn't work. I'm not sure if it's something that was disabled or not but I think the video I saw was from 2018. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.

My first recommendation to new producers is to open projects from others and study them. Abletunes enables you to do just that and I find myself downloading their releases quite often to learn from and pick apart.
