Stolen nude photographs of some of the most famous young women in Hollywood were posted on the internet on Sunday, August 31. They first appeared on 4chan on Sunday night, but quickly spread to the rest of the internet. Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, and Kirsten Dunst were among the celebrities who had their photos stolen.

After finding intimate photos and videos, they downloaded and traded the files with others, with Faber also identifying the students by name, some of whom he admitted to prosecutors that he knew personally. Fish also posted some pictures online, later finding graduation photos of the same students and creating edited versions of them alongside the nude photo, naming the 100 students whose photos he had stolen.

Celebrities who had their nude photos stolen last month are now threatening Google with a $100 million lawsuit unless the search giant does a better job of removing copies of the photos found on its various services, including YouTube and Blogger.

The Guardian reports that Google has removed two links to sites that host Lawrence's stolen photos, after the actress's lawyers filed a takedown request under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
